The Easter Jeep Safari is a long-running tradition for Jeep enthusiasts. Owners head out to the desert outside Moab, Utah, just as the weather begins to turn fair again to pit their custom (and occasionally stock) Jeeps against the slick, red rock faces of the desert. Jeep itself is involved too, usually bringing a showing of concepts and wild one-offs to the event for owners to feast their eyes on.

This year is no different, and Jeep has brought along a total of seven concept vehicles. These can be split into two categories: four are Jeep builds done with a selection of parts that owners can buy themselves, showcasing all the unique ways in which owners can customize their Wrangler and Gladiator off-road rigs. Notably, Jeep has focused on these two vehicles in its lineup this year, leaving the rest out. The other three are much more in-depth concepts, built with special parts and liveries owners may or may not be able to get their hands on. It’s a lot to go through, but we’ve put them all in one place. Here’s your look at this year’s Easter Jeep Safari lineup:

Jeep Has Another Special Edition Color To Celebrate Its Most Important Holiday

Jeep has a new shade of orange to mark 4×4 Day, the most holy day on the Jeep calendar.

Jeep Convoy Concept

The first concept is inspired heavily by the original Gladiator SJ, introduced for the 1963 model year as “the first post-war truck designed for civilian use.” This Gladiator concept borrows heavily from the J-Series, which was spawned from the original ’63 model and ran up until 1987.

The military-inspired concept has a few key attributes, the most noticeable of which is the retro-look nose, which is inspired by those later J-Series vehicles. The bumper is also fitted with a 12,000-pound Warn winch, and a snorkel adorns the passenger-side window frame. Other key aspects include the amber lighting, brown canvas half doors, top, and bed canopy, along with the special Ghost Ops matte paint.

Exterior changes are rounded off with larger high-clearance fender flares covering huge 40-inch BFGoodrich Krawler tires and 17-inch wheels. Inside, you’ll find OD-Green bedliner upholstering (if that word still applies) on the floors and sweet retro low-back seats in brown leather.

Jeep Bug Out 4xe Concept

You’ll be letting the bugs in with this concept, based on the

Wrangler 4xe
. The Bug Out concept addresses a major concern with overlapping off-road builds: weight. Jeep looked at how best to remove weight, inspired in part by ultralight backpacking. The roof is raised by four inches for better access, but you’ll notice the struts holding it are carved out and lightened as much as possible. The whole Wrangler has turned into something of a pseudo-Gladiator, as it’s now a foot longer and comes complete with a tailgate.

You’ll also find a custom rear tube bumper in the back. Half doors and a custom rear body side feature auxiliary battery packs, but the lighter doors and body should also shed some weight, hopefully offsetting the heavy-duty steel bumper. The concept also features an included “off-road e-scooter.” Inside, the floors are also bed-lined, and the interior bed space features attachment points for a hammock accompanied by custom upholstery for the seats.

Jeep Rewind Concept

This serves as Jeep’s bit of lip service to the ’80s as people remember it, not, by its admission, as it was (which is to say, very brown). It’s a mishmash of ’80s and ’90s vibes with a mesh sun guard, no doors, and special Grimace metallic paint and graphics. The 17-inch AEV wheels are also painted and feature 37-inch tires. Jeep removed the rear bench seat from the interior and added a custom storage box instead. There’s also plastic floor liners and seats with some retro graphics on the inserts, as well as an old-school cell phone in the center console.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Blueprint

This concept is designed to sell you parts. It features more than 35 accessories, all of which are stamped with a QR code to lead you to the corresponding webpage where you can purchase them yourself. The wacky paint job isn’t for sale, but items like the lift kit, bumpers, winch, rock rails, a-pillar lighting brackets, wheels, tires, snorkel, and tube doors are. Inside, Jeep has also added a smattering of parts. That includes an accessory rail, auxiliary switches, seat covers, door sill guards, pedals, grab handles, and a handy tailgate table.

Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser

Designed to be the “ultimate outdoor adventurer,” the Sunchaser carries everything you need. The roof storage rack can haul gear, and side storage boxes take the place of the rear windows. Each also features an integrated MOLLE panel for mounting gear. There’s also a very unique lighting solution.

Mopar’s ILLUMINTA3 lights can pivot to become either lighting for your campsite or provide a forward-looking light source while on the trail. The Sunchaser is also equipped with a winch and a lift accompanied by 37-inch off-road tires. Inside, the Sunchaser features custom two-tone leather seating, as well as more leather on the doors and center console lid. An accessory rail has also been mounted on this concept.

Jeep Gladiator High Top Honcho

Jeep calls this concept “heritage-inspired.” It does sport a deeply nostalgic look, and one the automaker says was popular in the mid-’70s. The updates, however, are decidedly modern. Jeep fitted new Dana axles with revised gearing, air suspension, a winch, modified bumpers and rock rails, and a set of massive 40-inch tires to increase off-road capability far beyond what anything in the ’70s could manage. The retro theme is accented with a bed roll bar, a color-matched hardtop, and a custom quilted leather interior.

Jeep J6 Honcho

Jeep saved the best for last. The J6 concept is a two-door Rubicon with a longer bed to compensate for the lack of passenger space. The bed is a full foot longer than stock, but the whole truck is the size of a current four-door Wrangler. The extremely modified body aside, Jeep also fitted a lift with wheels and 37-inch tires for better clearance. There’s new steel fenders, a spare tire carrier, and a custom bumper and roll bar to round out the retro look, too. Other modifications include a winch, contrasting blue stitching for the interior, and bronze-painted accents.
